Meet Tovah Miller, Director of College Success @ Perkins
As Director of College Success @ Perkins, Tovah Miller works to ensure that high school graduates who are blind or visually impaired are fully prepared for the academic, social and daily living challenges of college.
Her responsibilities include developing the College Success curriculum, implementing the recruiting and admissions plan, overseeing staff and managing the daily operations of the program.
Before coming to Perkins, Tovah worked as assistant director and recruitment coordinator at New England Law | Boston’s Career Services Office, where she provided career counseling and job search strategies to students. She has also been a program specialist for the American Bar Association Commission on Disability Rights, and a legal research assistant at the ARCH Disability Law Centre.
Tovah has a master’s in Cultural Foundations of Education, with a concentration in disability studies, from the Syracuse University School of Education, a law degree from Syracuse University College of Law, and a B.A. in Religious Studies from Hobart and William Smith Colleges.
She’s a member of several advocacy and community service organizations, including the Boston Bar Association’s Public Interest Leadership Program, the Women’s Bar Foundation Pro Bono Family Law Project for Battered Women, and Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters.
