Recommended Text Books

"Making Science Accessible" is a book written by Perkins science teachers and is designed for the science teacher in the mainstream science classroom working with a student with visual impairments. The book can be considered an extension of the resources and information you will find on this website. Order this book online.

We have also compiled a list of books we have found helpful in our work. We have included references useful both to the teacher of the visually impaired as well as the teacher in the general or special education classroom who is working with a student who is visually impaired.
