Ellie Starr

Perkins Trust

Ellie Starr is Executive Director of the Perkins Trust. A 15 year veteran of the Development field, Ellie came to Perkins in late 2006 from Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, where she led the Principal and Major Gifts efforts in closing more than $91 million in gifts from individuals of the $203 million raised in that year. Known for effective team building, she also helped to develop fundraising strategies and plans for the largest capital campaign in that institution’s history.

A life-long Newton resident and graduate of the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, Ellie started her Development career at Brandeis University. Her mandate is to build the Perkins Trust PR and fundraising efforts and launch the largest fundraising campaign in Perkins’ history.
