Perkins School for the Blind prom-goers dined on delicacies from Max Ultimate Food and cupcakes from the trendy cakerie Sweet, enjoyed floral centerpieces from Winston Flowers, and rocked out to classic covers tunes from French Lick.

French Lick rocks the Perkins Prom
After only two sessions of dance classes, no one expected Perkins students to fill the dance floor on the first beat. As usual, students at Perkins exceed expectations and couples stepped out without hesitation, cheering and singing along to many of the classic rock numbers that French Lick laid down. Lead singer, Jordan Siegel, was delighted and queried, “Do you guys know all these songs?” To which the crowd of young revelers shouted, “Yeah!” and went on dancing. Other prom-goers huddled and laughed at their tables, adorned with elegant Winston Flowers and tasty island flavors to match the tropical-themed event. Cheers filled Dwight Hall late in the evening as regal seniors entered in the annual traditional annual promenade.
The treats, decor, and live music, were all part of a Perkins Gala fundraiser auction item that included dinner out at toney Towne. The Prom promise came true Thursday, June 10 as French Lick drummer and Boston Celtics co-owner, Wyc Grousbeck, delayed his appearance at Playoff Game 4 long enough to play a set for his son Campbell and friends at the Perkins Prom.
