Perkins Training Center Offers Online Registration for Its Summer Institute!
The Perkins Training Center (PTC) is now offering online registration for its 2012 Summer Institute, beginning in July. The online fee covers payment for both the July and October sessions. You can still register via the traditional method* by downloading the flyer and sending it in, via email (PerkinsTrainingCenter@Perkins.org) or regular mail:

Using the I-M-Able Approach
The topic of 2012's Summer Institute, Implementing the I-M-ABLE: Diagnosing and Teaching our Non Reading Braille Readers, will be presented by Diane Wormsley and Tammy Reisman. In this two-part course, participants will further examine and explore the unique educational needs of children with visual impairments and additional disabilities who are non-reading braille readers and the skills related to assessing and teaching these children literacy using the "I-M-ABLE Approach."

- Reading More Than Words: Graphicacy (June 9);
- Northeast Regional Seminar: Medical and Behavioral Aspects of CHARGE Syndrome (June 22-23).
July also offers another two-part series, PROJECT VIISA: Early Intervention for Infants & Toddlers with Blindness and Visual Impairment and their Families (July 17-18, Oct. 11-12). You must register for all of these courses offline.
