Perkins Prom Night 2012
Seniors Eliza and Sam took a twirl around the dance floor.
On the first fair evening of the season, Dwight Hall was aglow with colored lights, piñatas, and umbrella tables in colors befitting the Fiesta Mexicana prom theme.
Michael plays it cool.
Carolyn and her classmates sparkle in the spring at prom.
DJ JD rolled into the evening getting the students from the Secondary and Deafblind Programs up and dancing early and often. The evening peaked with the introductions of members of the largest Perkins graduation class since the mid-1980s.
Music pulsed through the Howe Building, family members hovered overhead in the balcony, snapping photos and ooh-ing and aah-ing at the young men and women who were dressed to the nines and coming into their own.
Prom night at Perkins 2012 was a slice of Americana typical of schools across the nation at this time of year. But for each tuxedoed gent and bejeweled belle, it will hold a distinct and unique memory of shared celebration.
