The Development of Concepts and Use of Symbols for Learners with Visual and Multiple Impairments

DATES: TBD

INSTRUCTOR: Millie Smith, Consultant

This workshop is for students with visual and multiple impairments and pre-school children with visual impairments who are just beginning to use symbols.

For students in the late sensorimotor early preoperational stage (beginning of symbolic understanding), developing a conceptual foundation based on experiences with high-quality sensory information is necessary for the use of meaningful symbols.
