Recommended Reads: MaryBethWise

MaryBeth Wise is now a network consultant in the Network Services Section of the National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped in Washington, DC. She previously served as a Quality Assurance Specialist in audio books, and as a narrator of talking books. MaryBeth also teaches acting at The Theatre Lab, in Washington, DC.

As a narrator for the NLS Talking Book Program, MaryBeth has recorded over 80 titles including such notable works as D.H. Lawrence’s Women in Love, The Little Friend by Donna Tart, The Norton Anthology of American Autobiography, and Patricia Highsmith’s The Talented Mr. Ripley.

Other favorite titles include My Last Days as Roy Rogers, The Years With Laura Diaz, and novels by Pearl Cleage and Edwidge Danticat.
