Producing braille pictures is very fulfilling and satisfying for both blind children and adults. It gives a real sense of accomplishment to create something artistic that can be shared with sighted family and friends. Creativity comes from within us all, not from our vision or lack thereof.

challenge everyone who tries the drawings outlined in Drawing With Your Perkins Brailler to try and create their own drawings as well. What I hope this book will do is to empower others to create pictures and share them with the larger blindness community.

To facilitate and otherwise enable the effective sharing of braille drawings, this site hopes to provide some additional resources for creating braille drawings. Its success is based on creative submissions being sent in for posting on the web page. Send your step-by-step drawings to kim.charlson@perkins.org, and they will be tested and then posted for sharing on this page. Let's build an online community of creative braille picture enthusiasts and share our thoughts and ideas together.
