Department: Deafblind Program
Hours: 40 hours per week
Schedule: Monday thru Friday, 7:30AM to 4:00PM
The Administrative Assistant provides secretarial and clerical support services to supervisors within the Deafblind Program. Acts as receptionist, receives phone calls, directs visitors or callers to the appropriate person and provides information as may be required. Processes correspondence, forms and reports from handwritten copy. Processes incoming and outgoing mail. Sets up and maintains an organized filing system. Assures the general efficiency of all office functions. Receives, reviews and sets priorities for office business according to basic guidelines established by the supervisor. Solves routine office and business problems. Responsible for the completion of IEPS, progress reports and additional reports directly related to the students enrolled in the program; maintain centralized data base (SIS) for supervisors and staff. Schedule and coordinate appointments and meetings. Coordinate travel plans, as requested. Assists supervisor in the development of trainings, using Power Point and work with supervisor related to trainings, on-campus, national, and international.
Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Prior secretarial experience.
