Braille Books
The Perkins Braille & Talking Book Library offers over 16,000 braille titles, which can be searched in our Online Catalog. The newest braille books are listed in the bimonthly Braille Book Review catalog, which is also availble in braille and in large print. Contact the library to order braille books, to receive a catalog, or for more information about braille services.
The Library provides access to web-braille services through the National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped. Please review this Web-Braille Factsheet and log-in for Web-Braille Access. Other Braille Services
- Braille Awareness Kit - this kit will teach about the braille system and how braille makes a difference in the lives of people who are blind
- Instructional Music Materials - braille materials from a collection of 30,000 books, musical scores and instructional recordings
- Perkins Brailler Repair Program - a special program for Massachusetts residents registered with the Library to have their Perkins Brailler Repaired for free
- Jumbo Braille Collection - contracted and uncontracted jumbo braille books that will enable people from across the country who are blind with an impaired sense of touch, such as those with diabetes, to read braille books.

Free braille calendars are available from the Perkins Braille & Talking Book Library. These 6 x 6.5 inch calendars conveniently fit in your backpack, purse or briefcase. Each month begins on a new page, and important dates and holidays for the given month are listed at the bottom of the page. There is a "Personal Dates" page at the back for you to add in your own important family or friends birthdays or anniversaries.
