Catch the Beat Parties

We had lots of fun at the Harry Potter Extravaganza on Saturday, July 21 at the Perkins Braille & Talking Book Library! Special guests from the Boston Celtics read aloud from J.K. Rowling’s brand new Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. We caught the beat with the What Cheer? Brigade marching band and enjoyed crafts and cake with our friends from the Watertown Public Library.

We kicked off the Summer Reading Program on June 12 with a fun celebration under the Perkins music tent. Over 90 party guests enjoyed a speech by the Lieutenant Governor, lots of delicious pizza, the sweet sounds of bluegrass band Jubilee Mule, ballloon hats and animals, and a hands-on jazz program by music therapist Lisa Kynvi.
