Perkins has a Diversity Council comprised of representatives from departments and programs across campus to assist the school in its diversity efforts.
The Diversity Council:
- Serves as an advisory group to the President and Senior Management
- Provides leadership and guidance and makes recommendations on how to build and recognize campus diversity
- Encourages respect for and understanding of diverse cultural traditions
- Promotes greater diversity in all programs and among staff and students
- Support diversity initiatives and monitors and communicates the results of such initiatives to the Perkins community
